MR Sales welcomes Mike and Judy Davis back to Port Macquarie. Jake Clarke first met this dynamic duo in late 2004 when they were managers of Beachcomber Resort Port Macquarie. Having sold them out in 2007 they moved to Sydney where they purchased and ran a management rights in the CBD until 2014, when they decided to retire and move back to Port Macquarie.
‘Macquarie Waters’ was listed for sale by Jake Clarke with the managers and original developer deciding to retire from the industry. This presented too good an opportunity for Mike and Judy to re-enter the industry in the destination where it all began. We welcome them back to the management rights industry in Port Macquarie.
Gus and Leanne Peterson had a busy life in Melbourne but with a growing family and a lot of out of town travelling, there was a longing to enjoy working together in a more relaxed environment. Port Douglas had been a holiday destination previously that always had appeal for them and consequently the search for a new business enterprise lured them into looking at management rights. Geoff Ellis and MR Sales had a number of very good listings in Port Douglas and Gus and Leanne were attracted to Nimrod Resort Apartments not only for it offered a good business proposition on paper but also because the resort had great family oriented facilities and accommodation. Not only did they see a resort that they would choose for their own holiday, but they knew from their own travelling experience their guests would enjoy themselves there. Being astute business people themselves they have identified areas they can ‘tweak’ and improve at the resort and they took no time at all to settle into life in Port Douglas and all that it offers.
Scott and Cheryl Pottle were looking for more than a business when they began their search for a management rights business. As well as a business they wanted a ‘project’ and a four bedroom home and living environment that would be ideal for their young children. Fortunately Geoff Ellis at MR Sales had just the listing and as a bonus it was in Port Douglas which offered a brilliant lifestyle in a premier holiday destination. The ‘project’ was all about having a business where they could add value and Ti Tree Resort offered that opportunity. For many years Ti Tree had provided a holiday destination of choice for thousands of families and was one of the original resort style properties. Within a few brief weeks Scott and Cheryl have transformed the resorts image and with Port Douglas being on a rebound with growth in visitor numbers, Ti Tree Resort under Cheryl and Scott’s management will capitalise on that growth. Congratulations to them.
Tiffany White has been very actively involved in business on an international scale with several business and property interests in Australia, North America and elsewhere. Having been to Port Douglas for holidays that were all too brief, Tiffany had long considered the region a good business base at some time in the future. Ultimately she set aside time to explore the options and following an extensive search, settled on the management rights at Port Douglas Bay Villas Resort. Tiffany recognised that Port Douglas has everything in terms of location, climate and appeal for tourism and that the region was in the very early stages of long term growth. Timing is everything when buying and Tiffany was able to negotiate a purchase that met her investment criteria. The resort has been a strong performer over the years but needed a fresh injection of strategies to further enhance the business. As a very experienced business owner and investor, Tiffany brings to Bay Villas the necessary energy and ideas. Geoff Ellis and MR Sales were delighted to broker the sale and purchase to the satisfaction of all parties.
Phil Trimble and the team at MR Sales would like to congratulate Peter Matthews on his investment in San Chelsea. “Its been a long hard road but in the end we made it”. Peter has moved down from Brisbane to take over the management of San Chelsea and with a very supportive committee intends to make his mark on the complex. The business has great potential and enormous opportunity for growth. Peter has a marketing and business background and has already “hit the ground running” with ideas on how to increase occupancy. There is no doubt in our minds that Peter will be very successful in this business and we wish him every success.
Congratulations to Nick and Narelle Brienza on their investment in Poinciana Vistas. Narelle and Nick are new to the industry and with the help of Narelle’s father Brian were able to secure this business with a lot of upside potential. Now that they are settled in their plan is to get down to business and focus on keeping the common area pristine, managing their investors units and ensuring that the complex is a safe and harmonious environment for all residents.
